As our Finance Manager, you won't just close the books. Reporting to the CFO, you'll lead the finance function day to day — keeping the group audit-ready and governed to listed-company standards, sharpening our planning and analysis, and partnering with leaders across the business to turn financial insight into the decisions that move SSF forward.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with MFRS and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Lead the team to deliver accurate, timely statutory, tax, and regulatory submissions.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure full compliance with the Companies Act 2016, taxation and SST requirements, and corporate governance standards.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Track performance through financial analysis, variance reporting, and management reporting.
Translate insight into action — clear, well-supported recommendations to Management on financial and operational matters.
Evaluate business investments, expansion projects, and capital expenditure proposals.
Business Partnering & Internal Controls
Partner with Retail Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, Human Resources, and IT to support commercial decisions.
Establish and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, building capability and bench strength.
Set standards and manage competing priorities to deliver against tight reporting deadlines.
What You'll Bring
Essential
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
